I came out
of the station. At first I was
disappointed. It seemed to me that the whole city was gray like that train station.
But I always remember that the first impression can be deceptive. So, I started to go into the depths of the city, to the center. And I was pleasantly surprised.

I fell in love with Gorky Park. It’s so wonderful place. It’s huge, very green
and divided into different sectors like retro zone, family or children zone,
amusement area and so on.
I rode on the Ferris wheel. The cabins are glazed and inside you
can be sitting and also standing. You can see a great view of the whole city. It’s
amazing. One circle on the Ferris wheel costs 30 hryvnia (a little bit more of
1 dollar).

And I tried
to ride on the cable car too. The road passes through the forest. You can buy a
ticket in one direction only. If you want to return to the park, so then, you can
buy a back ticket. This year it costs 20 hryvnia (nearly 1 dollar) one way
direction.

Kharkiv is very green city with a lot of fountains that illuminate at night. There are a lot of shops, cafes, restaurants.

A little bit about my hostel where I was one night. I was placed in a comfortable hostel “Hosmos”. It’s a very original place. Every room has its own design. For example, I lived in the room “The Little Prince”. You can see the pictures on the walls from the fairy tale of Exupery. Hostel is located near the train station and not far from the center.
